My Wedding story

My husband and I are both last minute person, I realized this after our wedding. We booked the venue four months before our wedding date, and we set our hands into everything else within the LAST ONE AND HALF MONTH before our wedding. Compared to typical Singapore Couples who would probably start preparing their wedding a hear ahead, our experience should raise some light of hope for those last minute couples like us.

We were telling ourselves that after we book the venue, it's settled and that will drive us to complete the rest. However, we didn't settle anything else in the following months... About one month before our wedding, we started to panic and thinking that we should really make some calls to vendors and settle something. And there are always helpful websites that provides detailed wedding-to-do lists, although those are mostly for 1 year preparation...

So in the last month, we have searched and talked and settled with these To-Dos (I will also list down the days of confirmation with these vendors before wedding)

Most urgent and important
-Venue (we have booked 4 months ago yeah!)

-Caterer, wine (10 days)

-Tentage, tables and chairs (6 days)

Urgent but not that Important (My wedding can still carry on without them)

-Hotel (17 days)

-Cinematography (15 days)
-Photography (6 days)
-Live Band (4 days)

-Make-up artist (3 days)

*-Decoration (Finally I decided to DIY my wedding)

We started searching for caterer and tentage vendors one and half month ago, the confirmation was make in the last week before our wedding, because there are many details to be settled. I feel lucky that the vendors I'd love to engage in my wedding are all available on that day, for popular dates I would still suggest couple make your move fast!
